Why this Philadelphia smoothie rocks!
Turns out… A cream cheese smoothie is actually amazing!
So, you might think that Philadelphia cream cheese would be a really weird ingredient to put in to a smoothie.
I was certainly hesitant the first time I tried it!
After all, you usually spread it on things like bagels, or mix it in to something like a cheesecake.
But that got me thinking… If it goes in to a dessert like cheesecake, why couldn’t it go in to a dessert-like smoothie, too?
And, it turns out, a cream cheese dessert smoothie can actually be AMAZING!
When you mix berries with cream cheese, it makes a great flavor that seriously tastes like dessert.
So have no fears when you put the Philadelphia in to this smoothie.
It’s basically a dessert smoothie when you get down to it…
And that’s the point – the ingredients in this smoothie are really just ingredients you would put into a dessert.
If I were to ask you what berries, cream, cream cheese might make, you might start thinking towards something like a cheesecake, once you add the base ingredients.
So this is kind of like a cheesecake smoothie in a lot of ways! (Note to self – try adding something like granola to this…!
Not quite cheesecake, but maybe really good…?)

For people on a Keto diet, this is a Keto Fat Bomb Smoothie!
If you are on a Keto diet, it can be really hard to constantly find new foods to try that fit within your diet.
I find that smoothies can be really useful in this regard.
As long as you don’t go too crazy on the berry front, you can keep the net carbs within a reasonable range.
This Philadelphia berry smoothie comes in at 10.5g of net carbs, so should leave you a decent amount of headroom for the rest of your meals.
The great thing about it is that you get a fat bomb out of this. It comes in at 29.3g of fat and 334.7kcal, so as a quick and easy Keto snack, it can be really useful.
Oh, and actually taste great in the process! Keto fat bomb smoothies for the win!

It’s a berry and Philadelphia smoothie that is versatile – Tips and swaps
One of the great things about this berry smoothie is that you can change up what berries you use.
I recommend using dark red berries, but the mix is really up to you.
I use a mixture of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries.
But you can use whatever you can access.
All will give a different flavor, but they will all be great!
If you don’t want the smoothie to be as high in fat or as calorie dense, you can remove the heavy/double cream.
If you do this, I recommend offsetting the water, too, otherwise it may be too watery.
If you still want some of the cream taste but not quite as many calories from fat, you can also try single / light cream.
Lastly, one thing that will naturally go really well with this berry Keto cream cheese smoothie is chocolate.
Try breaking up bits of dark chocolate (I recommend Lindt 90% dark chocolate, as it is very low in net carbs). I have a similar berry and chocolate smoothie here.
Amazing Philadelphia cream cheese smoothie with berries recipe
Ingredients you will need
Philadelphia, or other cream cheese.
Mixed berries – You don’t need to get too specific here. The mix I use has raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. Dark red berries will tend to work best with this smoothie, but feel free to try out whatever berries you like!
Double / heavy cream – This can help to add some depth to smoothies and adds to the calories quickly. This is great if you want to have a Keto fat bomb smoothie.
Prepare the Philadelphia smoothie ingredients.
If you are using frozen berries, particularly large ones like blackberries, strawberries and raspberries, blend them first.
This will help them mix in to the final cream cheese dessert smoothie.
Add the Philadelphia/cream cheese.
Add the double/heavy cream.
Add the water.
- Cream cheese (soft cheese) - 100g / 3/4 cup / 3.53oz
- Mixed berries (fresh or frozen) - 75g / 3/4 cup / 2.65oz
- Double cream (heavy cream) - 15ml / 1/2 tbsp
- Stevia - 0.5 tsp
- Water - 150ml / 2/3 cup / 5.3fl oz
- If using frozen berries, blend them fist so they mix well in to the smoothie.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
